No more weekly figure drawing sessions this season. Sorry kids.

I'm too tired.

I'm thinking about creating a web application that allows those who are interested to be notified when enough people want to get together for a class.

I'll let you know if I get up enough energy to pull it off.

I find myself monitoring the class more and being able to pay attention to drawing less...but that's how it goes! I'm so happy that we are getting a large group regularly now.

We have models booked through the new year but we will not be meeting the day after Christmas on the 26th.

Next week Travis will be modeling. He's a juggler and a former life drawing model. New to us though.

We were thinking of possibly stopping for the season at the end of the year, but due to overwhelming protest to that idea we will go into January and further if people keep coming to class.

This past session was a blast. Thank you to all who shared their work after class. I felt this was our most impressive session work wise. Everyone's work has really inspired me.

Next week we'd like to feature a couple instead of a single model. If you are interested or know a couple who would like to pose please contact me.

This will be our last meeting before taking a week off for Thanksgiving. After the session this week the Chaos gallery is having an artist's reception for our show and we'd love if you attended. There may be refreshments if you're lucky. You have to come to get them though.

John modeled for us this week. I personally had a lot of fun and felt I grew a lot as an artist. 9 people attended including 3 new artists. We'll be accepting submissions next week to finalize the show at Chaos. Next session we have Mecca modeling. Don't miss it!

Another great session was had. We had 10 artists show up to draw Ian. Other than some ants creeping up on Ian's skin things went smoothly. Thank you Danielle, Katie, Cherise, Salim and everyone else for coming. Next weeks session should be our biggest so be sure not to miss it. The Chaos Gallery will be featuring artwork from our sessions this upcoming first Friday of November. Please bring your artwork to me framed if you would like it included. They get a lot of visitors so it should be a good show to be in. See you soon!

Last weeks event was our largest so far with 13 attending. Thank you Cherise, Ilsen, Laura, Katie, Ernesto, Tim, Danielle, and everyone else for coming. Anna, our model was forced to come last minute due to our other model flaking. This weeks session will feature Ian as our model. Bring refreshments if you can afford. See you there!

We had a small but fun group last week. Thank you Lynn for joining us for the first time. You're drawings are amazing. We'd love to post your work here. Salim, Shelby, Amber, and Mecca also attended. A rainbow shown over us as the session ended. Kevin felt satisfied he'd done his job well. The rest of us agreed.

We want to see some of you shy people who've considered coming! It's a friendly bunch I promise.

We're meeting this Saturday at Chaos gallery again. The space there has worked well and the hairless cat doesn't vomit anymore.

Last Saturdays sessions went really well. Nine artists attended our first advertised meeting where Amber graciously modeled for the evening. Many drawings were made and a good time was had by all. One mirror was shattered but there were no serious injuries.

This week we'll be meeting at Chaos Gallery - 801 N. 6th St. @ 4pm

Please be there at 4pm sharp so as not to disturb the class or models.

Feel free to bring refreshments if you are able. This weeks spot is a bit larger and can accommodate more. Send me an email if you are unsure what to bring. There's no eating during the session but afterwards we mingle for a while and look at eachothers work (at least those brave enough to share do!)

Come join us on August 29th as we start the new season of Figurative drawing sessions.

We'll be meeting at the Firehouse Art Space @ 1015 N. First St. and starting at 4pm sharp. All levels of artists are welcome. Remember to bring your own supplies especially an easel if you have one. We provide models and have a model list for those wishing to sit for us. There is no instruction during the session. We ask that all participants be artists, no spectators or children allowed.

Yes the models are nude, so no cameras please.

This session is free for everyone so there most likely will not be refreshments.
